SequelCare of Oklahoma CARF Accreditation

The SequelCare of Oklahoma is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities, or CARF. CARF is a private, international, not-for-profit organization that accredits human service providers and has established standards of quality for organizations to use as guidelines in the development of programs and services. SequelCare of OK demonstrates that it meets international standards of care and consumers can be confident that SequelCare of OK has made a commitment to continually enhance the quality of its services.

A Three-Year Accreditation has been awarded to SequelCare of OK for the following programs:

  • Case Management/Services Coordination: Mental Health (Adults)
  • Case Management/Services Coordination: Mental Health (Children and Adolescents)
  • Case Management/Services Coordination: Alcohol and Other Drugs/Addictions (Adults)
  • Outpatient Treatment: Alcohol and Other Drugs/Addictions (Adults)
  • Outpatient Treatment: Mental Health (Adults)
  • Outpatient Treatment: Mental Health (Children and Adolescents)

Organizational Goal
The SequelCare of Oklahoma aims to provide a system of care that is responsive and appropriate, offering services that are high quality, accessible and cost effective.

Strategic Planning
SequelCare of OK strives to provide the best possible services to the communities which it serves and, as such, is committed to the establishment of a foundation for success through priority and goal setting, strategic planning and the ongoing monitoring of multiple clinical and community indicators. The establishment of organizational priorities is the best foundation on which to build success.

These four organizational priorities are considered SequelCare of OK's "Building Blocks for Success". These building blocks allow us to ensure dedication to the fulfillment of our goal.

Building Blocks for Success
1. Block One: Quality and Efficacy of Services
Objective: Provide the highest quality of mental health and substance abuse services available in all of SE Oklahoma in order to effectively meet the needs of the consumers in the communities we serve.

2. Block Two: Consumer Satisfaction
Objective: Educate the communities we serve regarding mental health and substance abuse issues in order to reduce stigma, decrease barriers to service, encourage consumer participation and ensure consumer satisfaction.

3. Block Three: Staffing and Resource Development
Objective: Recruit and retain qualified, competent, professional and appropriately trained employees while committing to community outreach and partnering in order to continuously expand the scope and availability of resources.

4. Block Four: Financial Stewardship and Growth
Objective: Monitor company capabilities and the competitive environment in order to minimize losses and protect assets while maximizing growth and expansion whenever fiscally possible.

Quality Assurance at SequelCare of OK

SequelCare of OK works closely with state and local organizations in an effort to meet the unmet needs of the persons in the communities we serve. In order to uphold our commitment to quality and ensure that the needs of our communities are effectively met, SequelCare of OK continuously monitors performance, consumer satisfaction and outcomes. SequelCare of OK surveys both active and discharged substance abuse and mental health service consumers, personnel and other stakeholders. By doing so, we are able to ensure that the highest standard of care continues to be met and that the services our consumers receive are able to benefit their lives and the lives of their loved ones to the greatest degree possible.

Consumer Satisfaction
94% of active and discharged consumers who received either mental health or substance abuse services reported overall satisfaction with the services that they received from SequelCare of OK.

97% of active and discharged consumers reported that they felt their providers were knowledgeable and that they were treated with dignity and respect.

Consumer Outcomes
85% of consumers reported an improvement in the quality of their life and relationships due to the services they received from SequelCare of OK.

80% of consumers reported a reduction in the severity of their symptoms while receiving services from SequelCare of OK.

Accessibility to Services
99% of substance abuse and mental health consumers surveyed reported they felt there are no barriers which may keep consumers from receiving services with SequelCare of OK.

91% of consumers reported satisfaction with the availability of staff and appointment times with SequelCare of OK.
